National Historic Landmark Church
Its active congregation dates to 1695, and the “new” church was built between 1727 and 1744. The 196-foot steeple was the tallest structure in America until 1810. Benjamin Franklin organized lotteries to pay for the bell tower’s construction. Enter the church and discover the pew where Franklin sat during worship services.
