Founded in 1795 with ten worshipers from Germany, Holland, and Poland, Rodeph Shalom is the first Ashkenazic congregation in America. Designed by Philadelphia architects Simon & Simon, the 1928 architectural gem is in a beautiful Middle Eastern and Art Deco style. Its magnificent interior is Byzantine.
